The Dallas Police Department identified the suspect in the Texas State Fair Shooting on Saturday night as Cameron Turner, 22 years old, who immediately fled from the scene before the police arrived and when he was apprehended. A gun was recovered and he was charged with aggravated assault.
In a published article in FOX News, it was found during the investigation that the shooting happened around 8:00 p.m. near the fair’s food court. Meanwhile, Dallas Councilman Adam Bazaldua said that the shooting incident happened after a verbal altercation between two persons who knew each other.
Three Persons Got Injured
According to an article published in CBS Texas, three persons- two women and one man- got injured in the shooting incident. Police authorities did not reveal their identities but assured people that they are now in a stable and good condition.
Karissa Condoianis, the senior vice president of public relations for the State Fair of Texas told the station, said, “We don’t allow weapons in the State Fair of Texas. However, we understand that Texans have the right to carry their weapons. So, we have a middle ground where those that have a license to carry are allowed to come in with a concealed weapon.”
