Jamarcus Glover, the ex boyfriend of Breonna Taylor, who was the subject of a drug investigation that led to Taylor’s death has been charged with multiple counts of drug trafficking offenses and has allegedly used teens to transport and sell drugs.

According to the Louisville Courier Journal,  the ex boyfriend of Breonna Taylor,  Jamarcus Glover, 33, has been charged of committing organized crime, dealing with minors illegally, and conspiring to traffic in controlled narcotics, among other offenses.

According to the arrest citation,  the ex boyfriend of Breonna Taylor and two other people have been indicted of using children to carry and sell illegal drugs like heroin and fentanyl.

A significant amount of drugs and many weapons were seized as authorities carried out a search warrant at a residence in the Taylor Berry neighborhood.

The authorities visited Breonna Taylor’s home on March 13, 2020 because they thought Glover, the ex boyfriend of Breonna Taylor, was keeping money and drugs there.

Additionally, the ex boyfriend of Breonna Taylor was detained alongside numerous others in a drug investigation around 10 miles from Taylor’s South End residence in Louisville.

When Taylor’s then-boyfriend Kenneth Walker fired a shot that hit one of the police, three Louisville Metro Police Department officers opened fire on Taylor’s house. Walker later stated that he thought the police were trespassers since he did not hear them identify themselves.

Taylor was tragically shot by the police shooting.

The investigation found that Glover, the ex boyfriend of Breonna Taylor, had left Taylor’s apartment in January 2020 carrying what appeared to be a USPS parcel and traveling to a known drug den, according to the search warrants for Taylor’s apartment.

Joshua Jaynes, the LMPD investigator who obtained the warrant, reportedly stated in his writing at the time that he had confirmed with the US Postal Service that Glover, the ex boyfriend of Breonna Taylor, had picked up parcels at Taylor’s house, but it turned out that was untrue.

Glover, the ex boyfriend of Breonna Taylor, asserted that Taylor had no connection to any illicit drug trafficking and that the information provided in the search warrant was false and deceptive.

It was discovered that there were no illegal substances in Taylor’s area when the examination into her home was complete.

While Black Lives Matter defended Taylor after the incident, Taylor’s mother, Tamika Palmer, criticized the Kentucky state representative Attica Scott (D) and the Louisville Black Lives Matter chapter in April 2021 for allegedly exploiting Taylor to raise money or advance political causes.
