The accused Oxnard Man Willis Nichols, aged 20, faces charges of murder, assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and several special allegations, according to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office, a published article reported.
This decision came after a two-day preliminary hearing that concluded last Friday in Ventura County Superior Court. The incident took place on the night of March 12, 2022, within the area of an empty Goodwill building located at 3075 Saviers Road in Oxnard.
During the event, Adrian Sandoval, 21, also from Oxnard, lost his life while two other individuals were left injured.
Reports indicate that approximately 100 young people attended the party, and the property owners were reportedly unaware of the gathering. It was not until July of that year that Oxnard police managed to locate and arrest Oxnard Man Willis Nichols, who was 19 at the time, following an extensive search that prompted a public appeal for information.
