A young Atlanta rapper known for signing to Young Thug’s YSL Records has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a fatal shooting in June at an Atlanta apartment complex.
A 20-year-old Atlanta rapper, signed to Young Thug’s YSL Records, has been charged with the murder of a young father of two daughters
The Atlanta rapper, whose real name is Jacob Moody was arrested Thursday in connection with the shooting death of Tremaine Glasper in Atlanta’s Mechanicsville neighborhood just south of downtown earlier last month.
The Atlanta rapper is currently being held in Fulton County Jail without bond, local TV station news reported Saturday afternoon. The Atlanta rapper has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm while committing a felony.

No further information has been released about the other two suspects and the involvement of the Atlanta rapper. However, the Atlanta rapper’s mother Latonya Moody, told authorities her son was innocent and was likely mistaken for someone else. The Atlanta rapper was being held in Fulton County Jail without bail. Prison records show the Atlanta rapper was charged not only with aggravated murder but also with possession of a firearm and knife in the act of committing or attempting to commit certain crimes.
