SAVANANA, Ga. (AP) — Rapper Quando Rondo has been jailed in his hometown of Savannah on drug and gang charges.
Indictment charges rapper with four charges, including involvement in illegal street gangs
The 24-year-old rapper, was incarcerated at the Chatham County Jail on Tuesday. His bail hearing is scheduled for Friday according to court documents. A judge granted the 24-year-old rapper $100,000 bail according to court filings. Bowman and 18 others were indicted by a jury on Wednesday. The indictment charges Bowman with four counts including running an illegal street gang. Other charges alleged that Bowman conspired with others to distribute marijuana and purchase tablets of the opioid hydrocodone.
His attorney, declined to comment last week. He did not immediately respond to voicemail messages or emails seeking comment Wednesday
As Quando Rondo singles led to a deal with Atlantic Records and he released his debut album “QPac” in 2020. His follow-up album Recovery was released in March. In recent years Quando has had to deal with some personal issues in his life. The shooting of his friend Lul Pab and another friend Lul Tim and dealing with the judicial system after Tim shot King Von, certainly took a toll on Quando.
