Men Armed With Assault Rifles Targets A Car In Washington, Killing A Pregnant Mother And Seriously Injuring Her Infant Child

The shooting killed a passenger in the car, who died in hospital giving birth.

The woman, identified as Samya Gill, 22, of Fort Washington, gave birth to a baby in the hospital and later died of gunshot wounds

The mother did not want to be identified. She said her daughter used to work as a model and ran an online clothing boutique, but recently closed everything to focus on her baby, who is due in a few weeks. She said her child was not shot but was still in serious condition and was “a little better today”. The man who was driving the car does not have life-threatening injuries but is being treated. Deputy Chief Andre Wright said at a press conference that the act was brutal and called for those responsible and witnesses to appear in court.

One was wearing a white hoodie and black trousers and the other was completely black. Police believe the shooting occurred 300 blocks southeast of 37th Street but the victim’s car drove several blocks after the shooting and stopped a few blocks from Minnesota Avenue near McDonalds.
