An angry woman stormed into the rural Pennsylvania district attorney’s office and shot the district attorney in the foot

State police did not provide a motive or details for the shooting, but said it appeared to be a “single incident” and did not pose a danger to the community. Porice Diamond Mincy, 31, of Emporium, was taken into custody shortly after Wednesday’s shooting at the law office of Paul Malizia, who serves as a Cameron County prosecutor. He injured his leg and was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and later released.

On Thursday, a judge ordered Mincy detained without bail while prosecutors claimed she was a Long Island resident and had no personal ties to Cameron County

Mincy denied pulling out a gun and firing. She claimed she only bit Malizia out of her anger. Mincy has been charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment possession of a firearm, and other related offenses. Investigators said Mincy slapped Malizia in the face and bit her leg before pulling out a pistol and shooting her in the leg at point-blank range. She then fled the scene, but she was arrested about 10 minutes later at an Emporium residence about 190 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
