The shooting occurred early this Sunday morning after Rex chased Emily
Authorities believe Rex Goodell, 26, traveled from Lincoln to Grand Island on June 4, about an hour and a half away, and fatally shot Emily Goodell, 23, and Hayes Morgheim, also 23, at a house owned by Morgheim’s mother. According to reports, Emily’s relationship with Hayes was so new that her mother and her mother’s fiancé first met Emily the day before they were murdered. At around 2: 15 a.m. Sunday. When Rex Goodell got home, he shot Hayes several times outside the house. Goodell then “kicked” his way into the house to find Emily where he shot and killed her, according to reports.
