“The public is advised to be more vigilant”

This suspect used the credit card fraudulently at home centers and out-of-town fast-food restaurants. A credit card was stolen from a parked vehicle earlier in the day.

“We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to be careful and take precautions to protect your property. Do not leave valuables in your vehicle and always lock the doors,” Blair Police said in a statement.

If you have information about the suspect, please contact Investigator Tokugawa at 714-671-3675.

A lesson to be learned to avoid this type of crimes

Credit cards have always been targets of hackers and thieves, and that’s not going to change anytime soon. Unfortunately, the most common scams have changed as technology has evolved, and scammers are constantly coming up with new tricks to surprise the public. Scammers are clever with all sorts of tricks this year.

Identity crime will impact generations differently depending on how people interact with the digital world, and we expect to see an increase in fraud targeting specific ethnic groups.
