Idaho woman shoots young son before pointing gun at herself

Elizabeth Rowley, 33, was pregnant. At about 8:27 a.m. on Wednesday at 152 King Street in Wallace, Idaho, Lindsey wrote to Facebook to announce her death. They found Laurie and her two-year-old son dead from gunshot wounds. As part of a preliminary investigation, investigators concluded that Laurie likely murdered her son and then herself. Law enforcement officials have not released a motive for the death or any timeline leading up to it.

“Stay safe out there and take care of each other”

Lindsay wrote. “I may be sleep deprived, but I can’t help thinking about the importance of life. Kiss your spouse, hug your kids, call your parents and siblings to check on them.”

Today has been a very difficult day for our family, for our office, and for this community. And I can only imagine what the family is going through. As Sheriff, I have a duty to bring the news to the people of Shoshone County, but I have no qualms about adding to the suffering of my family by continuing to report on this incident. As such, this is my final comment on this tragedy.
