A man from Oklahoma pleaded guilty to torturing his stepdaughter using a shock collar and other objects for several days in 2020.
Oklahoma Man Tortured His Stepdaughter
Gustus Pennington pleaded guilty on May 10 to the crimes he committed against his 3-year-old stepdaughter. The court record shows that the Oklahoma man pleaded guilty to the following:
- five counts of child abuse
- one count of child neglect
- one count of conspiracy
Meanwhile, his wife Jeannette Wilson, the biological mother of the child, also pleaded to the same count charges. According to a published report in TRUE CRIME DAILY, Pennington used collar shock and other objects to torture the 3-year-old child.
Authorities said that the abuse is very severe because the collar shock runs out of battery every after two days after pushing the button many times. It was also found that he bound the 3-year-old child on a table and beat her.
Moreover, the torture and abuse did not stop there. The Oklahoma man made the child stand in cold showers while beating her using wood.

Judge Orders Sentences Against the Oklahoma Man
In a published article in The Paradise, a judge has handed six life sentences to the Oklahoma man for different charges and for torturing a 3-year-old child. Pennington attempted to claim a Native American status so that he would have faced federal charges.
However, this did not succeed because the local court said he had “ample opportunity to obtain Tribal membership with the Creek Nation after having attained majority age,” He attempted to have this status to delay the ruling of the case.
