Dead Man’s Body Found Buried in a Backyard

Investigators confirmed that they found the dead body of Richard Lee Morris, who was declared missing by his family in August 2021. The body was buried in the backyard of 28-year-old Robert Pippin and his 53-year-old mother, Emily Pippin.

In a published article in TRUE CRIME DAILY, the Coronover Police arrested both of them and charged them with the concealment of a corpse. The investigation started after Morris’ family reported him missing after not hearing from him for several months.

Robert Pippin was being held for a $10,000 bond while his mother Emily Pippin was set at a $1,000 bond, according to a report published in Hickory Record.

How Richard Lee Morris Died?

Robert Pippin told the investigators that Richard Lee Morris died from a lethal amount of meth that allegedly he took from the basement of Pippin’s residence.

However, it was found that Robert Pippin told Catawba County investigators in September 2022 that he had been taking money from the disability card benefits of Morris, according to a report published in Law & Crime. Robert Pippin also led the investigators where they buried the dead body.
