Police authorities confirmed that a middle school teacher in Virginia was charged and arrested after he sexually assault a student.
Virginia Middle School Teacher Was Charged and Arrested
Police authorities said that the middle school teacher identified as Tavon D’Andre Town, 31 years old, was charged and arrested on Wednesday. He was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery, one count of forcible sodomy, and one count of indecent liberties, according to a report published in FOX News.
It was found that the sexual assault involved a student below 15 years old which happened in Dumfries last March. Police also added that it took at a residence in the 1500 block of Sandpiper Bay Loop.
Moreover, the investigation also revealed that the Virginia Middle School teacher knew the victim or the student. She was studying at the school where the teacher worked and they agreed to meet outside the school on March 30.

How the Sexual Assault Was Executed?
The Virginia Middle School teacher picked up the victim outside the school and gave her marijuana before driving to his home. When they arrived, Town sexually assaulted the student before he dropped her off at the school, according to a report published in WUSA9. Fortunately, this incident was reported to the police and they immediately conducted an investigation.
Prince William County Police Released a Statement
The Prince William County Police released its official statement through a letter and wrote, “The Prince William County Police will announce today the arrest of Tavon Town, a teacher at Fred Lynn Middle School, on sexual assault charges of a student off school grounds. Mr. Town is on administrative leave during the investigation.”
Meanwhile, the Prince William County Police did not give any further statements about the matter but made sure that they will follow due process.
