- A hiker finding a human skull in a park in Phoenix, Arizona prompted the temporary closure of the park. Investigations after the skull was found reportedly discovered more human remains.
An article in Inside Edition says that the skull appeared to have signs that suffered from trauma. These signs led the investigators to believe they were searching for evidence of a homicide. Authorities said detectives are currently collaborating with the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the remains’ identity. Since January 28, the remains have been turned over to the Maricopa County Forensic Science Center. However, the Phoenix Police Department has not revealed any further information to the public yet.
