This week, authorities arrested and accused a New Jersey man of a series of alleged sexual attacks on one child, including the use of narcotics and alcohol.
Ronal P. Vasquez, 28, of Ridgefield Park, has been charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child, according to a release from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
The Garfield Police Department became aware of Vasquez’s activities on December 29 and notified the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit. According to the announcement, their investigation turned up a number of reported abuse cases.
Law enforcement accuses Vasquez of sexually assaulting a juvenile aged 13 to 16 in Garfield while allegedly supplying drugs and alcohol. Their investigation also revealed that Vasquez sexually molested the same youngster, aged under 13, twice more in Lodi and Passaic.
According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Vasquez faces two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, and three counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Vasquez was detained on Tuesday in Ridgefield Park and will be held at the Bergen County Jail until his initial appearance in Bergen County Superior Court.
