Local businesses in the Kansas City area accept ‘movie money’ for purchases

Law enforcement authorities in the Kansas City area are currently investigating multiple reports of counterfeit currency being used at various businesses.

The Lawson Police Department took to social media to showcase $100 bills that had been marked with a clear message: “this note is not legal, it is to be used for motion pictures.”
