Two individuals, Azaria Walker and Derman Singleton, were arrested in League City after a theft incident at a local Target store, according to the League City Police Department. Walker, a 26-year-old from Stafford, and Singleton, a 48-year-old from Houston, are facing multiple charges.
On December 27, 2024, at around 1:51 p.m., a detective from the League City Police Department’s Special Investigative Unit (SIU) received a report of a theft in progress at Target.
The detective witnessed Walker, described as a black female, hiding merchandise in her backpack and then getting into a white Mercedes Benz driven by Singleton, identified as a black male.
League City Patrol Officers assisted in stopping the vehicle. After further investigation, it was discovered that Walker and Singleton had also committed a theft at Home Depot in League City.
They had concealed power tools worth over $6,000 in a vanity box. Additionally, Walker was found in possession of narcotics and personal identifying information.
Both suspects were taken into custody without any issues, as stated by the League City Police Department.
