The Eupora Police Department is currently conducting an ongoing investigation into a shooting incident that occurred during the Christmas season.
The shooting occurred around 4 p.m. on Dunlap Street, close to a church.
A vehicle’s back glass was shattered by an unknown shooter. The victim managed to drive away, but unfortunately, ended up crashing into another vehicle.
No injuries were reported by the police.
According to Eupora Police Chief Lawrence Caradine, the shooting appears to have originated from a disagreement of some kind.
According to him, the investigation is being hindered due to uncooperative witnesses. As a result, the police department is currently engaged in efforts to ascertain the identity of the shooter.
Caradine emphasized the importance of coming forward, stating, “We encourage you to come forward, and I want to be honest with you. Many individuals hesitate to report because they fear being labeled as snitches. But let me tell you, it’s not about snitching. It’s about taking care of your community. By speaking up, you are not only protecting yourself but also the people around you. It’s about pulling together and looking out for one another.”
