Three individuals who were connected to a string of ATM robberies in various states were apprehended after being pulled over during a routine traffic stop in Santa Rosa County.
On December 18, 2024, deputies made arrests after pulling over a 2024 Nissan Altima on Highway 90 in Pace due to a window tint violation.
According to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, three individuals from Houston, Texas, have been identified as the culprits behind a series of ATM burglaries across southeastern states.
The suspects, namely Andrew Bishop (18), Dylon Thomas (20), and Brad Fokam (19), were found to be associated with an organized crime group based in Texas. Similar incidents had been reported in Mississippi, Alabama, and Pensacola earlier in December.
According to the source, law enforcement officers found a significant amount of fentanyl powder, 24 bags of synthetic cannabinoids (Spice), marijuana, and ATM burglary paraphernalia during the vehicle search. Fokam and Thomas allegedly provided false names and dates of birth to the authorities.
Sheriff Johnson voiced his contentment in successfully apprehending the suspects and issued a stern warning against bringing criminal activities into Santa Rosa County.
The investigation is currently underway, and law enforcement authorities are urging individuals who come across a card that has been glued to an ATM slot to promptly vacate the area and notify the authorities.
