Letecia Stauch, 39 years old, was found guilty of killing her 11-year-old son Gannon Stauch, whose body was found inside the suitcase under a bridge in Florida. The Fourth District Attorney’s Office posted on its social media account about the conviction of the Colorado woman.

In a published article in TRUE CRIME DAILY, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said that the Colorado woman reported her stepson missing on January 29, 2020. She said that her stepson went to a friend’s house but he never returned.

However, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office suspected that the Colorado woman was not telling the truth. An investigation was conducted in relation to the disappearance of the 11-year-old boy and detectives found that she killed her stepson on January 27, 2020 in his bedroom.

The evidence that reporters gathered described it as “a violent event occurred in his bedroom, which caused bloodshed, including blood spatter on the walls, and enough blood loss to stain his mattress, soak through the carpet, the carpet pad, and stain the concrete below his bed.”

Additionally, a report from KRDO mentioned that the 11-year-old boy suffered from 18 sharp force injuries, four blunt force injuries, and a gunshot wound. Gannon was also shot in the face and had blunt force trauma wounds on his head.

However, the boy’s body remained missing even after the Colorado woman was arrested. But two weeks after, a major break emerged about the case after the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies in Florida reported that they found human remains. It was later on found as Gannon’s, according to a report from NBC Colorado.
