Chiefs-Falcons Open Thread: Can Kirk Cousins get that magic against Patrick Mahomes?

Now that the San Francisco 49ers game is finished, we can try to settle down and watch some Sunday Night Football. Tonight it’s the Kansas City Chiefs against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons surprised everyone on Monday Night Football with a last-minute win against the Philadelphia Eagles. I did not see that coming. Kirk Cousins saved the day last week. This week he’ll have a much, much tougher task with that Chiefs defense.

The Chiefs on the other hand, are becoming a pretty polarizing team with the way officiating crews have handled their games. Their game last week against the Cincinnati Bengals was one of controversy towards the end when the refs got involved. A late flag came flying on Bengals safety Daijahn Anthony which set up a end-game field goal.

49ers fans know of the officiating crews issues against the Chiefs. I’ve always said if the 49ers find themselves in that position, they should look how they got there rather than blaming the officating crew, but the two are not mutually exclusive and playing the refs represents a terrible product for the league at large (See: Super Bowl).

FanDuel Sportsbook has the Chiefs favored by three points, despite being in Atlanta. I am all over that bet. I’ll take the Chiefs to be ahead of that. The Over-Under is set at 46.5 and I would bet the under on there as well. Both of those are bets I am definitely feeling good on.

I feel sick putting money on the Chiefs, but here I am.
