49ers news: 4 props to target: Third and Jauan is money

The 49ers are 1-1 heading into today’s matchup with the equally banged-up Los Angeles Rams and are looking to return to their winning ways. However, our prop selections sit at 5-2 on the season as we look to improve on that record with some more winning selections! We missed on the over for Brandon Aiyuk’s receiving yard total of 58.5. Still, we hit the over on Brock Purdy’s rushing yard total (7.5), Jordan Mason’s anytime TD prop, and Sam Darnold throwing an interception on Sunday.

Let’s look at some props to target today, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Jordan Mason Anytime TD (-185)

Yes, free money. Mason has shined with his new opportunity and given the run-heavy game script, this feels like a no-brainer. The Rams rank at the bottom of the league in run defense and are coming off a game in Arizona where James Conner gashed them on the ground.

Expect 20-plus carries for Mason and for him to find the end zone. Don’t overthink it.

Brock Purdy over 10.5 rushing yards (-110)

Vegas is getting hip to Purdy’s rushing ability and raised his total by three yards from last week. I’m still taking the over on a prop that Purdy regularly exceeds. Given all the injuries to the 49ers’ weapons and Purdy’s scrambling ability, 11 yards is easy money.

Let’s just hope it’s Purdy making a play and not him running for his life.

Jauan Jennings over 41.5 receiving yards (-110)

The rapport between Jennings and Purdy is evident. Some of Purdy’s sharpest and most timely throws are intended for Jennings. Combining their chemistry with the 49ers’ missing weapons and 41.5 receiving yards feels like stealing.

Jennings would still be considered even if Deebo Samuel and George Kittle were available for today’s game. Third and Jauan is money today.

Matthew Stafford over 220.5 passing yards

Yes, Stafford is missing Kupp and Nacua. Yes, the Rams offensive line is extremely banged up. Yes, I expect Stafford to eclipse his passing yards even with Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson, Jordan Whittington, and Tutu Atwell as his targets.

The 49ers win the game, but Stafford will throw for over 220.5.
