Woman Bail’s on Killing a Newlywed Bride Canceled by Court

Inside Edition reported that Aric Hutchinson, the groom, and Samantha Miller, 34, were killed in a golf cart after their South Carolina wedding reception on the night of their April wedding.

Jaime Komoroski, the suspect, came in court on Tuesday and pleaded with the judge to grant her a bond. The bail of a woman accused of ramming her drunken Toyota Camry into a golf cart on a South Carolina beach road and killing a newlywed bride has been canceled by a court.

Following the announcement of his decision, Circuit Judge Michael Nettles stated that the incident is unquestionably a very horrible circumstance for everyone involved. Nettles asked that the parties expedite the trial, which is currently scheduled for March 2024. If the case hasn’t been heard by then, Komoroski could be let go on a $150,000 surety bail. She would be given electronic surveillance and placed under home arrest.

Komoroski: Drunk, Speed limit and Struck

Authorities assert that Jamie Lee Komoroski, 25, went over the posted speed limit and struck a slow-moving vehicle that was escorting a couple to their wedding. While awaiting her trial, she will remain behind bars. Her blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit, according to a toxicological examination. She is charged with three counts of careless vehicular murder and driving while intoxicated causing serious bodily harm or death.

As part of her $100,000 bond, Komoroski was required to complete a rehabilitation program, live with her mother, abstain from driving, and consume alcohol. They insisted that she wasn’t a flight risk or a threat to the neighborhood. They also cited her loving family and clean criminal record.

The terrible disaster on April 28 was preceded by two quite different series of incidents in and around a well-known beach neighborhood in the Charleston area. Samantha Miller and Aric Hutchinson had just left a beachside wedding celebration that included a surprise mother-daughter dance and a sparkler-filled farewell, reports NECN.
