Victim Alleges Assault Despite Clear Refusal of Further Contact
According to abc7 news, Jon Jacobo the former director of a well-known San Francisco housing nonprofit has been charged with several serious crimes including rape, sexual battery, and domestic violence. Jacobo who is 35 years old turned himself in and was arrested on Monday. These charges are based on allegations from at least three women who reported that Jacobo abused and harassed them. Jacobo resigned from his job last year after an investigation by the San Francisco Standard uncovered these allegations.
Court documents reveal that one of the victims met Jacobo in 2019 while they were both working in affordable housing. Their professional relationship developed into a personal and intimate one. However in February 2021 the victim ended their relationship and made it clear that she only wanted to remain friends. Despite her clear refusal of further contact prosecutors say Jacobo sexually assaulted her on April 3 and April 4.
