Mental Health Focus: Police Identify Sydney Attacker as Joel Cauchi, Ruling Out Terrorism
According to NTD in Sydney, Australia a busy shopping center became a place of fear and sadness when stabbing rampage done by Joel Cauchi 40. He killed six before police shot him dead. The attack happened in the daytime at the Westfield Shopping Centre in Bondi Junction. Police said Cauchi had mental health problems and wasn’t a terrorist.

Community Unites in Grief and Support After Tragic Sydney Stabbing Rampage
The city mourned because of the stabbing rampage happened and also mourned the loss of five women and one man including Faraz Tahir a security guard from Pakistan. He was new to Australia and loved by his community. Inspector Amy Scott was called a hero for stopping Cauchi quickly. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese praised her bravery and that of others who helped. Cauchi’s family said they were very sad about what happened. They knew he struggled with mental health. The community left flowers outside the shopping center to remember the victims. While the city tries to understand what happened people support each other showing their strength and care.
