Middlesex County Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in Franklin Township Stabbing
Thomas E. Carter, 61 years old from Middlesex County, faces charges of attempted murder because of an altercation in Franklin Township. According to NJ, the altercation happened on March 24. It prompted the Franklin Township Police to respond to a call from security personnel at a local hospital. The victim is a New Brunswick resident who suffered serious injuries and underwent emergency surgery.
Carter was arrested without incident on March 26. He is currently detained pending a hearing. The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit asks anyone with information to come forward. Carter is charged with first-degree attempted murder, also possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose which highlights the seriousness of the incident.

Victim’s Struggle After Franklin Township Stabbing
Details have now emerged on the victim’s plight after the recent stabbing incident in Franklin Township. He’s been identified as a resident of New Brunswick. As reported by Patch, he suffered severe injuries during the altercation on March 24 and was rushed to a local trauma hospital. There he underwent critical emergency surgery to address the life-threatening wounds inflicted during the altercation, according to Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald. Authorities are continuing their investigation.
