Two young people, Omarion Hunt, 16, and Isiah Cumberlander, 18, were taken into custody by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office following a car theft in Callaway. This was a startling turn of events. Using a credit card they found inside, the teenagers allegedly sought to use another car they found with neatly left keys inside to make illegal purchases. They seized the opportunity and took possession of the vehicle, starting a crazy series of events. In their attempt to get away from the incident, they struck a fire hydrant, backed into another car, and took off running.

Law enforcement Apprehends Suspects in Callaway Car Theft Spree with Swift Justice

After identifying Cumberlander’s address through suspicious credit card activity, law enforcement acted quickly to contain the problem. Both minors were then found and placed under arrest. They are charged with seven counts of grand theft auto, burglary of a conveyance, fleeing the scene of an accident with damage, and debit card fraud.
