According to the report of WKRG, As tax time gets closer lots of folks are excited about getting their tax refunds. They are hoping for some extra cash especially after a tough year. A study by LendingTree found that Florida had the biggest average refund in the WKRG News 5 area at $5,005. Mississippi and Alabama did do as well landing in 20th and 22nd place with refunds of $4,067 and $3,986. This shows that where you live can affect how much you get back in taxes with things like COVID-19 help and how the economy been playing a big part.

He said that because of COVID-19 more people got extra tax breaks and some ended up in lower tax brackets because of losing their jobs. People are really looking forward to their refunds seeing them as a big help with money during tough times. A survey showed that 40% of Americans are counting on their tax refunds this year up from before. This means that tax refunds are super important for a lot of families helping them make ends meet and plan their finances.
