Extra Social Security Payments Confirmed for Specific Beneficiaries on March 13th
SSA Distributes First Round of Payments and Prepares for March 13th Disbursement
According to Lagrada, in a recent announcement, the Social Security Administration (SSA) confirmed that some Social Security beneficiaries will receive additional money in their payments scheduled for March 13th. This applies to retirees who claimed their benefits after May 1997 and have birth dates ranging between the 1st and the 10th. The extra money comes as a result of a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) established in October, providing financial support to help retirees and beneficiaries cope with inflation.
As part of their ongoing efforts to assist those relying on Social Security benefits, the SSA has already distributed the first round of payments on March 1st. Due to the 3rd of March falling on a Sunday, beneficiaries received a double payment last Friday. Starting Wednesday, March 13th, recipients and SSDI beneficiaries will receive new payments.
