According to the report of KIMA, in its first year the Working Families Tax Credit program in Washington State has helped many people with money. Almost 163 thousand applications were okay and over 100 million dollars went back to folks in Washington. But there’s still more to do. Leaders from the Washington State Department of Revenue say lots of people around 400 thousand can get this help but they have applied yet.

Washington’s WFTC Program Extends Support Beyond First Year
Now, families can ask for credits for up to three years after they should filed their federal tax papers. Kevin Dixon who helps with the WFTC program says even if you didn’t get the credit last year you can still get it now. With the new tax season starting many are sending in applications for 2023 but they can also ask for money from previous years. They working hard to spread the word and make it simple for folks to apply so they can get the support they need.
