Households receiving Alaska SNAP benefits can anticipate their February payments to arrive in the next few days, as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program prepares to distribute funds. Regardless of case numbers or last names, all participating households in Alaska, North Dakota, Rhode Island, and Vermont are set to receive payments on the first of each month.

According to reports released by the Washington Examiner, approximately 12% of the state’s population, totaling 92,100 people, currently rely on the Alaska SNAP Benefit, with an average payment per household member at $271 per month.

The state of Alaska divides households into three distinct regions, each with varying maximum monthly payment amounts. In a memo released by USDA, Urban region households are slated to receive up to $374 for a single-person household, $1,248 for a family of four, and $2,246 for a household of eight. Additional members beyond eight will see an extra $281 per person added to the payment.

Meanwhile, eligible households in the Rural I region can expect a maximum payment of $477 for one person, $1,591 for four, and $2,865 for eight, with an additional $368 per extra member.

In the Rural II region, maximum payments range from $581 for one person to $3,487 for eight, with $436 added for each additional member.
