Eligibility for this additional financial aid extends to those already receiving pension credit, universal credit, income support, income-based job seekers’ allowance, income-related employment and support allowance, or support for mortgage interest. Depending on individual circumstances, additional criteria such as disability, having a disabled child, or specific tax credit elements may also warrant eligibility.

Once eligibility is confirmed, recipients can anticipate their payments within 14 working days, directly into the same bank account where they receive benefits. This straightforward and automatic process ensures that eligible individuals receive their winter bonuses promptly.
