Michigan households enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) are set to receive January benefits, with payments ranging up to $1,751. The distribution, scheduled from Jan. 3 to Jan. 21, follows a specific timeline based on the last digit of SNAP ID numbers, ensuring an orderly disbursement.
January Payment Schedule
SNAP participants with ID numbers ending in 0 to 4 will receive payments on odd days from the third to the 11th of January. Those with ID numbers ending in 5 to 9 will collect benefits on the 13th to the 21st.
Eligible individuals who became qualified for SNAP benefits after October 21 will not face a delay and will receive their January payments, bypassing the need to wait until February.
Michigan, with around 1.34 million people receiving food stamps, experienced an increase in benefits for fiscal 2024, aligning with cost-of-living adjustments.
