Millions of Americans across the country will receive an amount up to $2,000 in direct and monthly payments if the Social Security Expansion Act will be approved. Pres. Joe Biden has already said that he will give a comprehensive explanation of this plan.
In a published article in The U.S. Sun, the proposed act aims to add $200 to the current $1,800 Social Security benefits. This will be distributed to people with disabilities, low-income families, and senior citizens based on criteria established by each state government.

Eligibility for the $2,000 in Stimulus Checks and Monthly Payments
According to an article published in Yahoo News, lawmakers initially proposed an amount of $2,4o0 for the Social Security benefits or an additional $400. However, this was strongly opposed by some lawmakers leading them to reintroduce a new proposal.
Furthermore, the assistance is intended for households with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of up to $75,000 for individuals, up to $150,000 for married couples filing jointly, and up to $112,500 for heads of households.
