The Pembroke Pines Police Department arrested a GameStop employee accused of fatally shooting an armed shoplifter.
GameStop Employee Accused of Fatally Shooting an Unarmed Shoplifter
The Pembroke Pines Police Department arrested a GameStop employee identified as Derrick Guerrero, 33 years old, who was accused of fatally shooting an unarmed shoplifter this week. The gunshot victim was identified as Chadrick Coats, 21 years old.
In a published article in TRUE CRIME DAILY, the police authorities responded on October 17 at around 8:16 p.m. after they received a report of a shooting incident at a GameStop store located at 11069 Pines Blvd. They found the victim, who was transported to the nearest hospital but was later pronounced dead due to severe injuries.

Victim Stole $500 Worth of Pokemon Scarlet
According to a published article in ABC NEWS, the victim ran toward the door and stole $500 worth of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Ultra-Premium Collection. Guerrero, the assistant GameStop manager, pulled out a concealed firearm and fired a single shot into the victim’s torso.
Furthermore, police obtained a surveillance camera that captured the incident. It was also found during the investigation that he bought the gun a month ago after a robbery incident. Meanwhile, police apprehended Guerrero on a charge of manslaughter but was released from jail after posting a $25,000 bond.
