The 2022 Minneapolis murder crime committed by Dajohn Yarborough for gunning down another man outside an apartment complex.

Dajohn Yarborough’s 2022 Minneapolis Murder Crime

On, Tuesday, Dajohn Cortez Ramon Yarborough, 32 years old accepted an agreement for a 40-year prison sentence. Yarborough pled guilty to one count of second-degree murder and admitted to shooting and killing Darrell Lamont Sims II in south Minneapolis on April 2, 2022.

Fox9 reported that last year Minneapolis murder by Yarborough shot Sims as he was standing outside an apartment complex near 24th Street and Elliot Avenue South.

Yarborough was carrying a firearm with what appeared to be an extended magazine.

The victim was shot in the chest but ran away, only to collapse in the backyard of a nearby residence. Police said Yarborough continued to fire shots, even as the victims ran.

Attorney’s Office required Yarborough, who had been out of custody, to be instantly brought into custody today following his guilty plea. He will be detained without bail until sentencing at 1 pm on November 20.

Dajohn Yarborough Was Busted By The Security Footage

Yarborough was caught via security footage and later identified by the witness as the suspect of gunning the victim. After the Minneapolis murder incident, it took over a year before he was taken into custody.

The shooting came less than a year after Yarborough was freed from prison involving a drugs and weapon case. He was a fugitive at the time of the shooting incident, wanted after absconded from his supervised release.
