Initial Charges to the Oklahoma Mother
According to an article published in The Kansas Star, the Oklahoma mother was initially charged with first-degree murder in Nowata County District Court but it was found that the case was dismissed after her lawyer claimed that she was wrongfully charged.
Furthermore, it was also found during the investigation that the two had an argument before the shooting incident. It is also not clear until now how many times the Oklahoma mother accidentally fired her daughter.
U.S. Attorney Clinton Johnson said, “Every gun owner has the legal responsibility to use extreme caution when discharging a firearm. This case unfortunately highlights the potential tragic results absent that caution.”
