Time to bid goodbye to Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers as Tuesday’s MRI confirmed his torn Achilles which according to a report may immobilize his feet for a few weeks and require him several months before he can return to regular activities including running and jumping.
Aaron Rodgers’ Torn Achilles Accident Report
The unfortunate event happened on Monday near the start of the first quarter. After four snaps, Rodgers was reportedly sacked by Buffalo’s Leonard Floyd by which Tuesday MRI confirmed his torn Achilles. Despite the accident, the Jets still pulled off a 22-16 victory over the latter’s team through the replacement of Zach Wilson as quarterback. Due to Rodgers’ torn Achilles, Wilson will start playing for the Jets next Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.
According to the report, Rodgers was able to get up after he was sacked but later stumbled to the ground in agony where medical staff of his team quickly attended to help him off the field. He was initially said to be able to return to the game but the severity of his torn Achilles downgraded it and eventually made his season over for the Jets.
Aaron Rodgers’ Career Before His Torn Achilles
Rodgers played almost all of his seasons with the Green Bay Packers. He reportedly signed a $75 million 2-year deal last July with the Jets. On the other hand, a torn Achilles tendon, according to the Hospital of Special Surgery (HSS) will require Rodgers a lengthy recovery process. Probably why the Jets decided to out him for the remainder of the season because of his torn Achilles.
