Alissa McCommon was arrested and charged with raping a 12-year-old male student in Tennessee. Further reports say the elementary school teacher was also suspended without pay due to the accusations.
On August 24, detectives from the Covington Police Department received information from the Tennessee Department of Children Services about a parent who accused Alissa McCommon, 38, of sexual misconduct. Further reports say the fourth-grade elementary school teacher taught Social Studies and English Language Arts at the Charger Academy.According to Baker, several juveniles also came forward stating that the elementary school teacher initially befriended them by playing video games with them. Thereafter, the elementary school teacher further engaged with the students by allegedly sending indecent photos and requesting sexual relationships through social media apps.

Elementary School Teacher Charged
According to Bashinsky, on September 8, the Covington Police and the Sheriff’s Office of Tipton County announced that the elementary school teacher was arrested and charged with raping a 12-year-old male student. Thereafter, the elementary school teacher was taken to the Tipton County prison and held on a bond worth $25,000.
Further reports say the elementary school teacher was also suspended without pay by the Tipton County Schools due to the accusations. On October 13, the elementary school teacher is reportedly scheduled to appear in court.
