In a fatal car crash accident in the Spirit Lake Reservation in 2021, a 20-year-old St. Michael woman Trina Lily Hunt has pleaded guilty to three counts of involuntary manslaughter and one count of assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
Intoxicated St. Michael Woman and Bigtrack’s Crash
According to Inforum, the accident occurred on August 11, 2021, along Heart Road on the Spirit Lake Reservation and involved two vehicles driven by St. Michael woman Trina Lily Hunt and Winter Skye Bigtrack.
The collision resulted in the death of three passengers.
Among the victims were an adult male and a juvenile male, who lost their lives at the scene of the accident. Additionally, a juvenile female succumbed to her injuries later on, while another juvenile female was seriously injured and rushed to Fargo for medical treatment.
The injured passenger was admitted to the intensive care unit due to the car crash impact.

St. Michael Woman Pleads Guilty
St. Michael woman Trina Lily Hunt has pleaded guilty to three counts of involuntary manslaughter and one count of assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
Winter Skye Bigtrack, the driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision, had previously pleaded guilty to similar charges and was sentenced to 57 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.
According to a published article, the Bureau of Indian Affairs patrol officers who investigated the accident revealed that both St. Michael woman Hunt and Bigtrack had been operating their vehicles recklessly and unlawfully.
The absence of valid driver’s licenses combined with the influence of alcohol and drugs created a highly dangerous situation on the road ultimately leading to the loss of lives.
St. Michael woman Trina Lily Hunt’s sentencing has been scheduled for November 7 at 2:30 p.m. in a federal court.
