Los Angeles County’s guaranteed income program is expected to release a $1,000 direct payment for the participants of the program titled Breathe, which issues payments to 1,000 participants every month on the 15th.

A guaranteed income program in Los Angeles has a program, titled Breathe that issues payments to o 1,000 participants every month, with recipients getting these monthly payments for approximately three years.

Eligible recipients acquire these payments on the 15th of each month. Los Angeles County’s Strength-Based Community Change agency, the Washington Examiner News reported.

Los Angeles County permits the program to have a goal for residents to “breathe” more comfortably, knowing they are more financially secure. The 1,000 recipients were randomly picked through a pool of eligible applicants.

Applicants For The $1,000 Direct Payment Will Not Requires To Have A Bank Account

Recipients in this program do not need to have a bank account to receive the monthly $1,000 direct payments because they are distributed through debit cards.

Applications for this Breathe program were available on March 31, 2022, and closed on April 13, 2022. The Direct payments began to be disbursed in June 2022 and will finalize in August 2025.

An expansion of this Breathe program will add 200 more recipients, all of whom will be former foster children if selected, and will receive a monthly $1,000 payment for two years every 15th of the month. The application window for this expansion opened on June 20 and it ended on July 3.
