Donald Santini was on the run after killing Cynthia Wood in Florida in 1984. Almost four decades later, the suspect of the cold case murder was finally apprehended in California and extradited back to Florida.
The remains of Cynthia Wood was discovered after being strangled and abandoned in a canal in Hillsborough County, Florida in 1984. Eventually, the suspect was identified as Donald Santini who was allegedly the last person seen with Wood before her death.According to Lynch, Santini, who was then declared wanted for the murder of Wood, fled from the Hillsborough County immediately. Throughout the years, the cold case murder suspect has reportedly appeared multiple times on “America’s Most Wanted”.

Cold Case Murder Suspect
According to Casiano, earlier this June, the cold case murder suspect was finally found in San Diego, California after evading arrest for 39 years. In a news release, Sheriff Chad Chronister of the Hillsborough County stated that Santini was extradited back to Florida.
To date, the cold case murder is back in the custody of the Hillsborough County and faced charges of first-degree murder. Furthermore, it is not yet known if a lawyer will be representing him.
