A Missouri Jailbreak in Barry County Jail happened Thursday night where seven inmates broke free with six of them now back in custody while one remains at large as of late Friday morning.
Missouri Jailbreak
According to a published article in PEOPLE, six of seven inmates who escaped during the Missouri jailbreak Thursday night have been recaptured. However, authorities are still on the hunt for Mario Che-Tiul, 34, who remains at large and is considered “armed and dangerous.”
According to a statement on the Barry County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page, the search continues for Che-Tiul, who fled alongside several other prisoners from the Cassville-based facility.
The escape occurred around 11:15 p.m. when the inmates allegedly overpowered two correctional officers, rendering them unconscious with chokeholds.
After incapacitating the officers, the inmates shackled them to the floor of a cell before making their getaway, revealed Barry County Sheriff Danny Boyd in an interview with KOLR.

Law Enforcement Responds to Missouri Jailbreak
Law enforcement sprang into action immediately, and within approximately 15 minutes of the jailbreak, deputies successfully apprehended three of the escapees, whose identities have yet to be disclosed, according to reports from KOLR and KY3.
In the early hours of Friday morning, authorities also captured Derson Pelep, Rolondo Saldivar, and Axel Agans. However, Che-Tiul remains at large.
Reports indicate that he was initially detained last December on charges of molestation and incest, as reported by WALB. The sheriff’s office stressed on their Facebook page that Che-Tiul should be considered dangerous and armed.
To aid in the search, the Missouri Highway Patrol and the U.S. Marshals Service have joined forces with the Barry County Sheriff’s Office, as per WALB.
Law enforcement officials are urging the public not to approach Che-Tiul if spotted but instead to contact 911 immediately, ensuring everyone’s safety as the search for the fugitive intensifies.
