A shooting incident outside a high school in Atlanta, Georgia left a 16-year-old girl killed and a 16-year-old boy injured. Reports say the victims were celebrating graduation through an unauthorized party in the area.

According to Hanlon, one of the victims of the Georgia shooting was a 16-year-old girl identified as Bre’asia Powell. Unfortunately, reports say Powell had died after being transported to the hospital. On the other hand, the second victim was an unnamed 16-year-old boy who survived and is in a stable condition to date.
On the same day, Mayor Andre Dickens of Atlanta stated that Powell would have had a job under the city’s summer youth employment program that was set to begin on May 30.

Suspect of the Georgia Shooting
An article in FOX 5 Atlanta states that to date, authorities still do not have information of what led up to the Georgia shooting. Nonetheless, they believe that the suspect of the shooting was also a teenager. This is because teenagers from different parts of Atlanta were in the area to celebrate a graduation party that was unauthorized.
To date, a reward worth $10,000 is being offered for any information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect of the Georgia shooting.
