Missing Woman Found Dead In Remote Area, Boyfriend Arrested

Police have arrested a 24-year-old man on murder charges more than a week after his girlfriend disappeared, leaving behind a few personal items.

Madeline Pantoja was reported missing and was last seen the day before

Midland Police Chief Seth Harman said the department had filed a missing person report and issued a search warrant. They questioned 25 people and set up a crime-fighting facility. It said it followed up on clues from, according to an affidavit cited by KOSA, on May 11, some of Pantoha’s friends went to her apartment to go swimming, but she didn’t go to the door.

Her friends contacted her brother who called Ms. Chacon and asked if Ms. Pantoha knew her whereabouts. Chacon reportedly didn’t answer straight and ignored calls from her friends. He allegedly said when he was finally contacted “I had a witness today and I was at home all day.”

“Too much detergent is used, making it very sticky”

Police officers visited Pantoha’s apartment and found a bucket of dirty water near the door. The floor was reportedly very sticky due to the overuse of detergent. Investigators reportedly found red stains on her bed and holes in several entries. Her friends reportedly hired a maintenance worker to open the door to Pantoja’s apartment. He said he felt out of place. Pantoja’s mobile phone, car keys, and wallet were also reportedly left in the apartment. The coffee table in the living room was also gone.
