Vandalizing the Louisville Memorial
An article in the WHAS11 states that authorities responded to a report about the incident around 11:15 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered two burned American flags atop the Louisville memorial. Fortunately, by May 4, most of the debris was cleared except for some remnants of the burned flags and the damage to the Louisville memorial itself.
Reports say the vandalizing of the Louisville memorial is still under investigation and the Louisville Police are already reviewing a video of the incident. Apparently, in 2020, the memorial was also vandalized during the protests and riots after a Black woman, Breonna Taylor, died. The police allegedly conducted a raid on her apartment in connection with a drug investigation.
