How to claim the Social Security Internet Discount?
According to Quirós Villalba, to avail the Social Security internet discount, one must apply for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). This program provides monthly discounts on beneficiaries’ internet connection services.
Therefore, a beneficiary must first confirm that they are eligible. Eligibility to the internet discount may be checked if the beneficiary receives the SSI. Once the eligibility is confirmed, application to the ACP must be made. After being accepted by the ACP, the beneficiary must look for an internet service provider that offers the ACP benefits and complements the SSI.
