Get Up to $250 Tax Credit When You Inquire Now.

Mayor Jondavid Longo of Slippery Rock Borough in Pennsylvania has proposed a $250 tax credit for first responders, funded by a $50,000 budget surplus. The credit would be worth up to $250 and honor first responders in the community.

The Slippery Rock Borough Council would need to approve Mayor Longo’s plan to provide a $250 credit to first responders living in Slippery Rock. By the end of the month, an agreement is anticipated, and in March, the credit is supposed to go into effect

The tax-filing season is open, and there are many credits available. The Child Tax Credit is only worth $2,000 this year, and qualifying parents must have a modified adjusted gross income of $200,000 or less. Low-to-moderate-income households and individuals can get the EITC, while families are eligible for the following amounts: one child, $3,955, two children, $6,604, and three or more children, $7,430 (Russo, 2023).

The Inflation Reduction Act brought the Solar Tax Credit into effect in August, allowing homeowners and renters to claim up to $8,000 for purchasing energy-efficient appliances. Additionally, households can receive a tax credit to cover 30 percent of the costs of installing rooftop solar. 12 states are offering payments to parents worth up to $1,000.
