A horrific murder-suicide in Galena Park, Texas, has left four people dead, including three teenage girls. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office received multiple reports of gunshots at a residence on Saturday night. Upon arrival, they found the four victims—a 13-year-old, a 14-year-old, a 19-year-old, and a 37-year-old man—all deceased from gunshot wounds. The 19-year-old was believed to be pregnant at the time of her death.

Based on a report by Fox News on February 19, 2023, the 37-year-old man was in a relationship with the mother of two of the teens. At the time of the shooting, the mother was not home. The incident reportedly began with an argument between the man and the three girls. The man then allegedly sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl who was also in the house before ordering her to leave. The 12-year-old managed to escape with a 1-year-old toddler, who may have been the child of the 19-year-old victim, and ran to a neighbor’s house for help. The girl was naked at the time of her escape but has since been treated at a hospital and is expected to recover.

Authorities have confirmed that the man responsible for the shooting died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a report by ABC13 on February 19, 2023.
