Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the idea of a basic universal income where the government provides citizens with regular payments has gained support. For several Americans, the Guaranteed Income Program provides them with financial assistance to afford their essential needs like food, utilities, and housing. To date, there are already more than 30 Guaranteed Income Programs across the U.S. More than 8,000 Americans have also already participated in these programs, as reported by Lalljee.
